Scene: The Robinsons’
“Your back late” she called out as she knew her husband’s footsteps as he strolled into the hallway hanging his jacket. “Last minute deals I had to look over” said Cliff with a yawn. He stretched a little and put his arms around his wife. “Well I didn’t prepare anything for you” she said.
“Luckily I had a bite to eat there,” said Cliff. He looked at his watch. “Hmm I think I head off to bed” he said.
“I follow you up” she replied. He headed off with a guilty look on his face.
Martha was in the kitchen helping herself to a drink of water as her husband was looking through the fridge for a midnight feast. “You and Hannah are getting along I see” she said.
“Don’t start that again will you!”
“YOU have no idea what she can be like Mickey. She stich you up before you know it“ she said.
“Don’t be daft” said Mickey eating a sandwich.
“I see the way you look at her.” Mickey stopped eating his sandwich and looked up. “What are you insinuating? Like I’m sleeping with her or something?”
Martha paused. “Are you?”
“You are damn out of order Martha. Out of order!” He put his sandwich down onto the table. “You can clear up I’m going to bed!” Mickey furiously got up and stormed out of the kitchen.
Scene: The Inn: The Following Morning
“Right I’m off” said Josie Mitchell as she strolled down the stairs. Arthur Mitchell was helping his nephew Steve Palmer carrying a barrel from the cellar. “Where are you off to?” He asked.
“Fancy a bit of shopping and treat myself you know, which I have not done since we have been around the world” she said cheerfully.
“Don’t spend too much will you,” said Arthur.
“I try not to” said Josie excitedly. She walked over to the door and stood still, opened it and walked out of the Inn. There Carly Palmer stood waiting for her. “I thought you would not turn up” said Josie.
“I’m trying not to believe this accusation.” said Carly. “But if you’re saying is right. I want to be there to witness it myself” said Carly. “Come on lets go before anyone sees us” she said.
Scene: The Club
Hannah Badhman Smith sat at the table working on a few papers as she sipped a glass of wine. “Early in the day for that isn’t it?” Mickey sat down next to her and grabbed the glass of wine.
“I thought I treat myself” said Hannah.
“I was thinking, Max Burns. How well do you know him?” Hannah thought for a moment. “Well enough to know he is a slimy businessman like yourself and will try anything on with legs.” She said.
“Get him involved in the business. If we can secure Max Burns with us then he will increase the capital and more capital more business, more clubs around Suburban Ways” said Mickey.
Scene: The City
“At least we are getting shopping to say the least” said a happy Carly.
“Okay but we have to find out if Pippa is telling the truth. I know she said she works as a PA here. All we need to do now is wait and see if she comes-“
“Oh my god!” Josie put her hand in front of Carly’s mouth as they watched a ghost from their pass come out of the building on the mobile phone. Could that really be Pam Ellis?
