SUBURBAN WAYS: EPISODE 120
Max has news for Hannah and makes a decision about his future. Gabriel eyes the Inn and makes an investment with Marc.
THE DINER
Gladys made her around the booths of the diner with a tray in one hand, gathering plates and cups and putting them into the tray as she headed back to the counter and placed the tray onto the kitchen counter and smiled at her kitchen hand.
The smell of coffee and tea lingering in the background and the smell of food filtered the busy dining area. Joyce walked into the busy diner and smiled at her friend who was clearly rushed off her feet.
“Ah there you are, didn’t your secretary get you your morning late?”
“Yes he did” she smiled back as she perched on the stool. “This place is remarkable such a turnaround” Joyce beamed.
“It needed a makeover” as she walked around. “Now tell Gladys about it, I think we know who we are going to talk about” she added.
“I went to see him, she had no idea he was engaged to Hannah and married to my daughter” Joyce rolled her eyes furiously.
“What’s that about making a fresh start for all of us” Gladys.
“Plus the father is quite a hottie” Gladys giggled like a child. Gladys handed Joyce a cup of coffee.
“Thank you” she smelt it and drank a little.
SCENE: THE STREETS
Hannah and Max held hands as they strode the streets shopping. “You’ve been awfully quiet Max. Eve for you” Hannah looked at him with a sigh.
“Sorry a lot on mind”
They stopped and stood at a corner as on goers were walking by and the cars zoomed from either side of the road.
“The visit from Ronnie must have been something to get you all worked up” she held his hand tightly.
“I can’t tell you here Hannah, we have to go home” she nodded.
“Okay, okay” she walked on followed by Max.
SCENE: THE INN
Gabriel walked into the inn and scanned the room as he felt the warmth of people sitting at tables eating and drinking and music in the background blaring out. No wonder why people come here he thought.
“Can I help you?” The man said from behind.
The tall muscular man stood over Gabriel and he smiled. “Yes you made the move for the gathering at the Gala” he shook his hand.
“Anytime, if you want a drink feel free to come to the bar” he added and showed him. Many appetisers of different brands were displayed on the bar and drinks in cabinets all filled for his punters.
“However, I have come to offer you a deal” he smiled. Marc was startled over his confession.
“A deal” he replied.
“I’d buy into your Inn and brand it” Marc was shocked.
SCENE: THE BADHMAN’S
Max and Hannah sat opposite each other at the kitchen table with a cup of tea in their hand.
“What did she say?”
Max looked anxious as he tapped his fingers on the cup he held. “Max for goodness sake” Hannah slammed her hands onto the table rather inpatient.
“I have another child Hannah a child!”
“What?” Hannah looked rather bewildered.
