SUBURBAN WAYS: HANNAH’S MONOLOGUE
My name is Hannah Badhman I live in a town that never sleeps. Everything happens here and I mean everything. We recently said goodbye to a dear friend. Someone who I had many runs in, in the past. She was my ex mother in law and boy was she controlling, taking over our lives. However, that was in the past. My mother in law and she always will be, even though I do hate her but I love her at the same time, passed away leaving the family devastated.
Ken and Jasmine moved away shortly after to be near to Cody leaving Missy in charge of the salon, Adele and Richard they married and went to Newcastle near Jackson and his brood. Poor Philip he stayed but he is soldiering on and his daughter Taylor Armatage has come to town to keep an eye on him.
Mickey has the upper hand, I call him lord of the manor, and he is a farmer, seriously. Although he does, like to get his hands dirty after her brother Dean found out sleeping with Ivy and her he. A solitary type. Gabriel now has taken his family away and yeah-well Mickey had a quickie divorce
Ronnie is now co-owner of the Inn thanks to Leo not giving up his share so she put money in and now that temptress is living in town, stupid cow. I think she has eyes for my fiancée. We moved the wedding to the summer due to poor Joyce, and I want the guys to come down for a visit. So, so much has happened to them.
Anyway, there are some newcomers to town take Abby Hudson for instance. Nice girl but many problems. She told me that she had to move away from
home and come to be on her own. I have taken her under my wing.
Jean has her own problems with the school and the new Deputy Head Karl Foster. He is so smarmy. I should introduce him to Ronnie. He is trying to get on everyone’s side. Jean is not buying it at all. She can handle him though.
Oh and my aunt Gladys always trying to be there to be a shoulder to cry on, a helping hand and well the best aunt ever. Nevertheless, wait until my cousin Beatrice and her husband Bill or as he likes to be called arrive.
Oh Max is calling me. I have to go now but please just to let you know we are still in mourning over Joyce, still can’t believe she’s gone. I really can’t. It’s not the same without her here in town. I will always look up before I sleep and say a little prayer.
