YEARS EVE SPECIAL
As the Robinson’s and McKenna’s come to terms with the recent events, Jasmine puts her happiness on hold as so does Martha but trouble times come to Suburban Ways.
Scene: The Robinson’s
“Mom” Adele shouted as she came into her bedroom. She saw her mother lying on the bed crying. “Mom” she curled her into her arms.
“He’s not here, he’s not here” she cried.
“I know, I know” she rocked her in her arms.
“You’re a doctor; you’re supposed to save lives!” She pushed her daughter away. “Leave me alone!” Adele got up and walked away with a tear in her eye. “What’s wrong?” Martha Robinson stood by the door.
“She won’t see anyone Martha she’s too upset” she said to her. “She is blaming everyone for dad’s death” she said with a sigh.
“It was none of our fault and plus he was with his family at the end” she said weakly.
“Come on let’s get things organised” she replied.
“Do you think we should stay with her?” Martha shook her head.
“No let’s leave her for a while” she said.
Scene: The Inn
Josie looked glumly as she was wiping the tables in the bar area. She stopped and sat down as she buried her head in her hands. Arthur came to console his wife.
Scene: The Church
Ken Robinson walked the grave yard with a bunch of flowers in his hands. He came to a graveside which read “In the memory of Cassandra Grace Lloyd Robinson” he placed the flowers down and kissed the top of the grave.
“I just thought I tell you something had happened. You may know this already he may be there with you. Its dad he passed away the other day” he cried a little. “Anyway I thought I had to tell you, I asked Jas to marry me. It’s so great I’m really looking forward to her being my wife. I just thought I’d tell you but we can’t really say anything what with dad” he said unhappily.
Scene: The Club
“You did what!” Shouted Hannah Badhman to Mickey Smith as she sat down at her desk. “You told her about us!” He nodded.
“What else was I going to do? I did not want to go on lying behind her back!” She puffed a little air. “Oh Mickey this is it then, it’s over the deal with the franchise its over!” He shook his head.
“No, you’re saying we can still do it? I doubt it Mickey as you and I have to be married so that we can get this deal that Martha has no idea and me pretending to be her is just plain stupid!” She stood up and walked over to him. “But you and I will continue this and although she knows she has no idea that we will be making a lot of money behind her back. Oh and another thing you can’t resist me can you. You’re still looking at me like that all wanting and panting like a little puppy” she said. She pulled away the papers on her desk as he lifted her up onto the desk and pressed her back and kissed her passionately.
Scene: The Robinson’s
Jasmine Malone put the phone down. She saw Joyce Robinson going over to the bar area and pouring herself a drink. “That bottle is nearly gone,” said Jasmine.
“Then I better finish it then haven’t I,” said Joyce as she poured and drank a whole glass till it was all gone.
“There it’s gone!” She put the empty bottle down and got another one.
“Joyce you can’t drink to make things go away you have to deal with them with people around you!”
“How would you know?” She asked her. “I am all alone now!”
“Yeah all this family around who are grieving as well, well Joyce you can be quite selfish yourself sometimes can’t you!”
Joyce smacks Jasmine. “HOW DARE YOU SPEAK TO ME LIKE THAT!”
“Truth hurts doesn’t it; I bet you won’t be turning up at the New Year’s Eve Ball will you!”
She pushed her away and Jasmine stormed out and sighed.

Scene: The Club
Jocelyn walked into her daughter’s club. “Well, well this is where it all happened? This business of yours!” She said as she helped herself to a drink.
“Well yeah it does” said Mickey Smith.
“You must be Mickey Smith the one who has been sleeping with my daughter” she said.
“I supposed I am. You’re also married to Martha Robinson right? How does she feel about this seedy little affair you got going on?” Mickey looked disbelieved she thought Joyce was bad but this woman is vicious.
“What do you want?”
“Keep away from my daughter dear and go back to your pretty little wife or else?”
“Am I supposed to be scared of you?”
“I got friends in high places dear so you better not cross me!”
She walked away with her glass. Mickey walked back to his office as Hannah was getting changed. He helped her zip up her dress. “So are we expecting your wife tonight or she be with her mother?” He slowly caressed her shoulders.
“Oh trust me she be here but she will not miss a party” he said. From afar Jocelyn found the security room and watched her daughter frolicking around with Mickey.
Scene: The Robinson’s
“What are you doing?” Jasmine asked Martha as she watched her get ready to go to the club. “What does it look like I’m doing? I’m going out” she said.
“Your mother is drinking herself to destruction and you’re going out for a night out whilst she is all alone!” Jasmine stopped her way on the way out.
“Get out of my WAY Jasmine!”
“You’re leaving your own mother!” Martha walked out. Ken passed by. “Ken we got to do something about your mother she needs help” she added.
“I know she needs help. But she is doing this to herself. She is the one who knows what to do. She is making people’s lives a misery. It’s not just me she is hurting she is hurting everyone else!”
Martha storms off.
“Martha!” Jasmine screams.

“How could you!” Carly Palmer walked over to Hannah.
“Oh look it’s the principal. What do I owe this pleasure, am I going to get a detention?”
“How could you have this affair?” Hannah poured herself a drink.
“Happy new year to you to” said Hannah drinking.
“Do you have any morals?” Carly said as she leaned over the desk.
“Just get out Carly please for your sake. You’re making a fool of yourself and plus you don’t know the whole story!” She yelled.
“I know well enough that you’re a slut who likes sleeping with other people’s husbands’”
“THAT’S ENOUGH!” Boomed another voice. They turned as Jocelyn was there arms folded and cross.
“Leave my daughter alone!”
“Who are you?”
“I’m her mother now get out of her office before I throw you out!”
“Gladly” she said and took her handbag and left.
“So you’re getting everyone hating you is that what you want!”
“No that’s not what I want!” She shouted. She got her car keys and got up. “Where are you going its new year’s eve and you have a bar to run!”
“I got Mickey” she added.
As she storms out of the office she passes by Martha and hits her hard against the shoulder as she rushes by. “Hey!” Martha follows her out of the club. “Come back her and apologise you cow!” Martha picks out her phone.
